Welcome to the Skeptical Student, a blog devoted to atheism, humanism, and college life. 

My name is Jimmy, and I am currently a college student residing in Massachusetts. I am an active member of my university's secular society. Our organization is highly busy; we perform community service, host lectures, and end the year with an awards ceremony to a prominent cultural atheist.

I was recently asked a simple question: why are you an atheist? Despite the multitude of reasons, I found it hard to articulate just exactly why. I started this blog as a way to deepen my own knowledge of my convictions. I also use it to stay abreast of current events in the atheist world, and perhaps help other people learn something as well.
